Starcards: where performers help sick children Starcards.org have raised many thousands of pounds for one of the UK’s most well known good causes, The Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. The concept is simple and fun. Starcards, with the help of their generous sponsors, commission specially printed official celebrity playing cards. The artist signs a card and has a picture taken (when possible) for authenticity. Again with the generous assistance of sponsors the end product is then mounted and auctioned to raise vital funds for the famous childrens’ hospital. I have been pleased to have been involved and I hope that in 2011 I can get many more playing cards autographed. On most occasions it is not possible to warn the artist in advance so a huge thank you to all the performers who have, to date, signed without hesitation. What’s above?
